I just finished Can't Wait to Get to Heaven and have Welcome to the World, Baby Girl waiting in the wings. I want to read more of her stuff, so your review was very timely. (How can you not like a character named Elner Shinfissle?)

I was just feeling like, "Gee, I should reread Can't Wait to Get to Heaven, because the movie FGT was on last night (and while it's nearly completely different from the book it's good in its own right) and I think Fannie Flagg is vastly underrated as an author.
