I don't know any other books that have spawned such VERY different series.<br/><br/>Enders Game acts as the DNA for both the series that continues with Speaker for the Dead, and also with the Ender's Shadow books.<br/><br/>I've known many people who went on from EG to Speaker and lost interest after Speaker because the books move into very cerebral/philosophical territory. When these people pick up Ender's Shadow (which is the story of Bean, Ender's chief lieutenant in the original book) they fall in love with Card's universe all over again.
