I was a mere 20 years old at the time and was very disappointed in Grumbles. When I ended up rereading at about 10 years later, I really appreciated it, and Heinlein, for what they were.Like the radio shock jocks, Heinlein was a genius at making money. He knew exactly what readers want, and could give it to them in a way that did not come across as pandering or trite.
