I loved Ender’s Game from Orson Scott Card. Maybe I’ll read the other books in the series someday when I have more time. While I know you don’t like the Sci-fi fantasy type Alan I still Recommend Robert Jordan’s books or Terry Goodkind’s. =)

I have read Orson Scott Card before (homecoming saga) but have never read the ender series. I guess that will be what I will try and read while in Afghanistan for the 15 months that I will be there.

I had not seen that book “Be the Change…” before. I’ll have to add it to my reading list. I have a bad habit of reading several books at once so I take a while to get through each one and always seem to have a stack waiting and a list of others that is way too long! Then you add in 3 kids, hiking, blogging, gardening, and all the rest of life’s stuff, and I get really annoyed that I need 8 hours of sleep every night!

Hi Alan! Thank you for your kind words. I am sort of bad at accepting compliments, so I squirm a bit as I read them. Don’t really know why, but there must be some weird “I’m undeserving” kind of thing going on at some deep level. I value your opinion as from reading your posts here and on capitaL eLs, and seeing your posts on Blog Catalog, I know you are are honest and analytical in your opinions.
