The Way We Work

way-we-workSub-titled  “Getting To Know The Amazing Human Body”,   David Macaulay’s The Way We Work is an amazing junior science book, published in 2008 by Houghton Mifflin.   Macaulay is an award winning children’s book author and illustrator who put years of research into this truly remarkable book.   Macaulay’s full color illustrations are remarkable, both cartoon-like and realistic at the same time, they provide an exceptional anatomy lesson which it will take even older children quite some time to read.

Starting with the electron microscope, the cell and atoms, Macaulay moves logically on through seven very well organized chapters like Let’s Eat, Battle Stations and then finally Moving On, which covers the reproductive systems.   Even grown ups are sure to learn something from these amazing pages.  The Way We Work.   Highly Recommended.  Buy Now only $24.50

One Response to The Way We Work

  1. It is nice to see a textbook that kids and teens may learn something from since they won’t be falling asleep out of boredom! I have long thought textbooks should be made as interesting as possible while still maintaining integrity and the facts. We want kids to want to read these books. That should be the ultimate goal- they are learning because they don’t mind reading the text!
