PS…..if you would review some good pol books, I would most certainly buy occasionally! I rarely read anything but politics and art anymore, except the occasional spy thriller (Ludlum, etc.).

It was _my_ Ron actually who posted about the ketchup/pistachio cake, which sure did sound to me like “regrettable food” as the book was called. When I started accepting review copies from publishers and their publicists I started posting more and more negative reviews. When I was reviewing only my own choices and long time favorites, every post was a rave. At first I feared that the publicists would taek me off their lists if I gave negative reviews, but was delighted to find that that is not the case. And sometimes I do give rave reviews to these submitted books But love it or hate it, you can be assured this is my honest take after taking the time to read the book.

(And you need to get your nerves in hand and start dating, btw. you Look great and if you just put yourself in marketing mode for a bit you will find yourself a hot commodity pdq)

Meanwhile, though, I’m still getting over your mention of a recipe for ketchup/pistachio cake in the “Gallery of Regrettable Food” which you reviewed a week or so ago.
