Teaser Tuesday–The Tyranny Of E-Mail by John Freeman

With a nod to Sarah over at Pussreboots and to Miz B at  Should Be Reading I decided to join in on Teaser Tuesday.    Here are the rules:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

“One security firm, FireEye, found that if it registered domain names that the Srizibi-infected computers woud look for, it could actually stay ahead of the spam problem.” –page 123

“One hopes we never get to the point that sending sixty e-mails per hour is normal, but it’s worth remembering that telegraph operators were merely transcribing messages, they weren’t creating them.” –page 160

Both of the above quotes are from The Tyranny Of E-mail by John Freeman.    Click the book cover to get it from the library or  Buy Now $16.50 from Amazon!

  1. It’s great to see you participating in the Teaser Tuesday! I don’t think email is the natural progression of the telegraph but Twitter’s intentially short message length is.
