Happy Thursday!   Time for another Easy Picture Books roundup and I have three cute ones today.   First author Judy Fichler and illustrator Kevin O’Malley have teamed up to produce Miss Malarkey Doesn’t Live In Room 10.   A young first grade boy is convinced his teacher, Miss Malarkey, lives at school right there in her classroom.  So he is very surprised when Miss Malarkey moves into his own apartment building, where he lives with his Mom and Dad.    He tells the other children that Miss Malarkey doesn’t live in room 10, but they don’t believe him until he shows them.   As the book ends the boy notes that school will soon be over for the summer and that next year he’ll be in second grade.   And he is pretty sure his second grade teacher lives in Room 12.    Recommended.

Happy Wednesday, everybody!   It’s time once again for an Easy Picture Books roundup and today’s lot were all written by a couple of Davids.   First off is David McPhail, whose Pigs Aplenty, Pigs Galore is a richly colorful delight.   Late one evening, the author sat reading in his favorite chair and thought he heard some noise coming from the kitchen and cautiously stepped through the kitchen door,  whence he slipped on a banana peel and fell smack dab into a whole big pile of pigs.   Pigs here, there and everywhere making and eating all kinds of food, wearing all sorts of outfits,  all cleverly illustrated with the cutest pigs.   Pigs apltenty,  pigs galore!   Highly Recommended.
