Hope someone has heard of these symptoms. This content has been marked as final. The next day I downloaded a newer HP driver and it worked until I shut down the computer.

When I run the Troubleshoot Problems in the Network control panel, to check for the internet connection problem, the message I get is: Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date If I restart the system, the network connectivity problem gets resolved, but the problem is recurring.
It passed the cable test but failed the Loopback test.
