Generally you can use blac,fin spi driver from either kernel space or userpace, above is about using it in userspace, let us know if you have more questions.

In addition, I’ve already configured my kernel image to support SPI devices, I just need help with the codes that would call and read the signals from the sensor Accelerometer. I simply need it to get it working where I would be able to get readings from the sensor and be able to store and interpret the data received.
